Spare Tire Warning Label

NOTE:
This notification applies only to the above vehicles equipped with a restricted use full size spare tire (Sales Code TBS) built through January 14,
2002 (MDH 011408).
IMPORTANT:
Some of the involved vehicles may be in dealer vehicle inventory. Dealers should complete this repair on these vehicles before retail delivery.
Dealers should also perform this repair on vehicles in for service. Involved vehicles can be determined by using the DIAL VIP System.
Subject
The restricted use spare tire warning label was not installed on about 1,600 of the above vehicles. The warning label reminds owners of the proper use
and limitations of the restricted use full size spare tire.
Repair
Spare tire warning labels are being mailed directly to all owners known to DaimlerChrysler with the owner notification letter. The owners are requested
to install the labels themselves or, if preferred, to arrange for dealer installation of the owner-supplied label without charge.
Parts Information
Each involved dealer to whom vehicles in this notification were invoiced will receive enough labels to service 100% of unsold vehicles.
If an owner's label is lost, or if dealers require more labels for inventory vehicles, additional spare tire warning labels, PN 52128585AA, may be ordered
as needed.
Completion Reporting and Reimbursement
Claims for vehicles that have been serviced must be submitted on the DIAL System. Claims submitted will be used by DaimlerChrysler to record
Customer Satisfaction Notification service completions and provide dealer payments.
Use the labor operation number and time allowance shown.
Add the cost of the label, if necessary, plus applicable dealer allowance to your claim.
