Install the straight end of the hose to the steel tube, (Figure 14). Lubricate the inside of both ends of the hose with brake fluid only to
ease assembly.

Place the remaining clamp on the opposite end of the hose. Slide the hose onto the pump nipple. Adjust the position of the hose so that it
is not contacting the shock stud or any other sharp surface.

13.

Position the clamps on the hose and tighten them to 10 in-lbs (1.1 N-m).

Removal of Actuator Piston Assemblies

1.

Secure the hydraulic unit in a vise, (Figure 15). Do not clamp on the modulator electrical connector located below the actuator.

2.

Remove the flange gasket from the hydraulic assembly mounting bracket or dash panel.

3.

Remove the brake light switch from the push rod by removing the bushings and sleeve from the rod end.

4.

Separate the black dust boot from the actuator housing.
