Load Compensator: Adjustments

1.

Position vehicle on a level surface and remove all cargo or personal equipment before making adjustments. Failure to observe these procedures
can result in unsatisfactory brake action. If a hoist is used, it must be a drive-on type. Do not use any type of twin-post hoist.

Remove nut attaching lever to valve shaft, then pull lever and retainer off the valve shaft. Remove and discard old bushing as it is not reusable.

Clean threads and spline on valve shaft, then connect link to avoid a false reading.

Loosen valve mounting bolts two full turns, then turn valve shaft so shaft flat is approximately at the four o-clock position.
