Load Compensator: Adjustments

Position vehicle on a level surface and remove all cargo or personal equipment before making adjustments. Failure to observe these procedures
can result in unsatisfactory brake action. If a hoist is used, it must be a drive-on type. Do not use any type of twin-post hoist.

Remove retaining nut and washer attaching lever to valve shaft, then the lever and spring from valve shaft. Remove and discard old bushing as it is
not reusable.

Rotate valve shaft to permit installation and proper alignment of valve adjusting gauge No. J-35853-2 or equivalent. Gauge must be properly
seated on "D" shape of shaft and lower mounting bolt of valve.
