Obtain the CPS patch harness (R) from the Service Repair Kit. From outside the vehicle, insert the ECU end of the CPS patch harness through the
drilled hole in the firewall. Install and fully seat the patch harness grommet (S) into the 1/2" drilled hole in the firewall. (Figure 8)

25.

Connect the CPS patch harness to the CPS (A). Secure the CPS patch harness to the main EEC harness using the two attached tie straps (T)
already on the patch harness. (Figure 8)

NOTE:

ALLOW SUFFICIENT SLACK IN THE CPS PATCH HARNESS TO COMPENSATE FOR ENGINE MOVEMENT. HOWEVER,
MAKE CERTAIN THAT THE CPS CONNECTOR AND ITS LEAD CANNOT CONTACT THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD.

From inside the vehicle, disconnect the 32-way connector (U) from the ECU
(K)

and remove the two wire locks (V). (Figure 9)
