Throttle Full Open Switch: Adjustments
Adjustment of WOT switch is only necessary after replacement, to establish the initial position of switch.
1.
Remove throttle body assembly as outlined previously.
2.
Loosen WOT switch to bracket retaining screws, then position throttle in wide open position.
3.
Attach alignment gauge J-26701 or equivalent on flat surface of throttle lever, then rotate degree scale of gauge until 15 degree mark is aligned
with pointer.
4.
Adjust bubble on gauge until centered, then align 0 degree mark with pointer.
5.
Close throttle slightly to center bubble on gauge. Throttle is now at 15 degrees before wide open throttle position.
6.
Position WOT switch lever on throttle cam so that switch plunger just closes at 15 degrees before wide open throttle position.
7.
Tighten retaining screws, then remove alignment gauge.
