NOTE:
This recall applies only to the above vehicles equipped with a manual transmission.
IMPORTANT:
Some of the involved vehicles may be in dealer used vehicle inventory. Dealers should complete this recall service on these vehicles before retail
delivery. Dealers should also perform this recall on vehicles in for service. Involved vehicles can be determined by using the DIAL VIP System.
Subject
The park brake on about 317,000 of the above vehicles may self-release without warning, allowing unintended vehicle movement. Unintended movement
of the vehicle could injure those in and/or near the vehicle or cause an accident without warning.
Repair
The park brake pedal assembly must be replaced.
NOTE:
This recall does NOT include replacement of any base service brake components (brake shoes and linings, drums, wheel cylinders, etc.). If base
service brake repairs are required, the additional associated costs are the owner's responsibility.

A.
Park Brake Pedal Assembly
Each dealer to whom vehicles in the recall were invoiced will receive enough Park Brake Pedal Assemblies to service about 5% of those vehicles.
