Each involved dealer, to whom vehicles in the recall were invoiced (or the current dealer at the same street address), will receive enough PCV Harness
Packages Recall PN CHBS6231 for manual transmission equipped vehicles and PN CHAS6232 for automatic transmission equipped vehicles, to service
25% of those vehicles.

Owner Notification and Service Scheduling
All involved vehicle owners known to Chrysler are being notified of the service requirement by first class mail. They are requested to schedule
appointments for the service with their dealers. A copy of the owner notification letter is included.
Enclosed with each owner notification is an Owner Notification Form. The involved vehicle and recall are identified on the form for owner or dealer
reference as needed.
Service Procedure
A.
Replace PCV Harness:
1.
Remove the air cleaner assembly.
2.
Disconnect the PCV solenoid wiring connector. Tape the connector to the wiring harness as it will not be used with the new harness which
contains an orifice.
3.
Disconnect the PCV harness from the carburetor, evaporative canister, and decel valve (manual transmission equipped vehicles only)
(Figure 1).
4.
Remove the PCV harness from the engine.
5.
Transfer the PCV valve from the removed harness to the supplied harness.
6.
Install the supplied PCV harness, connecting the harness to the carburetor, evaporative canister, and decel valve (if equipped).
7.
Insert the PCV valve into the front cylinder head cover grommet.
