Install the supplied debris shield on top of the intake manifold and align the three shield holes over the cylinder head studs (Figure 2). Use a right
angle pick, screwdriver or similar tool to ensure that the shield is installed on top of, and parallel with, the intake manifold (Figure 3).
NOTE:
Install the shield with the two curved portions of the shield oriented downward.

Secure the shield by installing the engine wiring harness trough back on to the cylinder head studs.

Install the supplied pushpin through the opening in the shield and into the hole in the intake manifold (Figure 2).

Connect the throttle and speed control cables to the support bracket and then connect them to the throttle body.

For Grand Cherokee (WJ) vehicles, connect the air inlet resonator to the throttle body and then connect the air inlet tube to the air cleaner.
For Cherokee (XJ) vehicles, connect the PCV make-up air tube to the front of the valve cover.
For Wrangler (TJ) vehicles, connect the air inlet crossover tube to the air cleaner and the throttle body.
