4. Clean the left rear brake tube and inspect the black coating, at the area shown in Figure 2, for damage:

If the black coating on the left rear brake tube has no damage, continue with Step 5.

If the black coating on the left rear brake tube is scuffed but no bare metal is showing the brake tube is good. Continue with Step 5.

If the black coating on the left rear brake tube has been damaged and bare metal is visible, replace the left rear brake tube. Continue with Step 5
to complete the inspection before replacing the left rear brake tube.
