Electronic Brake Control Module: Service and Repair
Removal
REMOVAL
1. Remove the master cylinder See: Hydraulic System/Brake Master Cylinder/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Master Cylinder.
2. Install prop rod on the brake pedal to keep pressure on the brake system.
3. Remove negative battery cable from the battery.
4. Pull up on the ABM harness connector release (1) and remove connector (2).
5. Remove brake lines (2) from the HCU (4).
6. Remove HCU/ABM mounting nuts and bolt (4) and remove HCU (2) / ABM (3) as an assembly.
