Timing Cover: Service and Repair
Removal
REMOVAL
1. Perform the fuel pressure relief procedure See: Cylinder Head Assembly/Fuel Pressure Release/Service and Repair.
2. Disconnect negative cable from battery.
3. Drain cooling system.
4. Remove the air cleaner hose (1) and housing assembly.
5. Remove the accessory drive belt and belt tensioner.
6. Remove the generator (3).
7. Remove the oil level indicator tube.
8. Drain engine oil.
