5. To level the tie rod (1), place a small level on the bottom of the right side tie rod socket (2). Rotate the tie rod until it is level. While maintaining
the tie rod at a level position, rotate the damper bracket so that the stud is horizontal and pointed rearward.
6. Hand tighten all four nuts (2) for equal thread engagement. Tighten the nuts for one U-bolt at a time, alternating between the top and bottom nut.
The final torques should be 20 Nm (15 ft.lbs.) on all four nuts.
7. Install the steering damper nut (1) on the steering damper bracket and tighten nut to 68 Nm (50 ft. lbs.).
