Disconnect the rear oxygen sensor from the wiring harness (Figure 1, 2, or 3).

Remove the rear oxygen sensor (Figure 1, 2, or 3).
4.
Remove the front and rear exhaust pipe clamps of the catalytic converter.
5.
Heat the exhaust pipe, one end at a time and separate the catalytic converter from the exhaust system.
6.
Install the new catalytic converter.
7.
Install the front and rear exhaust pipe clamps and tighten the nuts to 35 ft. lbs. (48 N.m).
8.
Install the rear oxygen sensor and tighten to 35 ft. lbs. (48 N.m).
9.
Connect the oxygen sensor to the wiring harness.
10.
Connect the battery and continue with Section D - Install the Authorized Modification Label.
