Leak Detection Pump: Service and Repair
EVAP Canister, Solenoid, And LDP
REMOVAL
1. Carefully remove vapor/vacuum lines at Leak Detection Pump (LDP).
2. Disconnect electrical connector at LDP.
3. Remove LDP filter mounting bolt.

4. Remove 3 LDP mounting screws and remove from vehicle.
5. Carefully separate hose at bottom of LDP filter.
INSTALLATION
1. Install LDP connecting hose to LDP and filter.
2. Position LDP and LDP filter (as an assembly) to vehicle.
3. Install LDP filter to mounting bracket. Tighten bolt to 7 N-m (65 in. lbs.) torque.
4. Install LDP to mounting bracket. Tighten screws to 1 N-m (11 in. lbs.) torque.
5. Carefully install vapor/vacuum lines to LDP. The vapor/vacuum lines and hoses must be firmly connected. Check the vapor/vacuum lines at the
LDP, LDP filter and EVAP canister purge solenoid for damage or leaks. If a leak is present, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) may be set.
6. Connect electrical connector to LDP.
