Prime the entire length of the internal groove of the new seal/carrier, p/n 05140675AA, with clear primer, 3M p/n 08691 or equivalent (Fig. 1).

Pre-prime the bottom 12.7 mm (.5 in.) of the glass on both sides with clear primer, 3M p/n 08691 or equivalent.
9.
Prime the bottom 12.7 mm (.5 in.) of the glass on both sides with black primer, 3M p/n 08692 or equivalent.
10.
Place a 6.35 mm (0.25 in) bead of urethane adhesive, 3M p/n 08690 or equivalent, in the entire length of the groove in the seal/carrier.
11.
Push the seal/carrier onto the edge of the rear window rear window lift glass. Apply temporary holding tape and let set for one hour (until the
adhesive reaches green strength).
12.
Install both lift gate strut rods.
