CAUTION:
Do not loosen the tie rod tube adjusting sleeve clamp when centering the tie rods.
15. Align the right side of the steering damper bracket to the mark made in Step 8 (Figure 7).
16. Partially tighten the new steering damper mounting bracket pinch bolt nut (Figure 7).
17. Adjust the steering damper bracket so that the pinch bolt is parallel to the ground and the steering damper mounting stud is angled downward
(Figure 7).
18. Tighten the pinch bolt nut to 37 ft. lbs. (50 N.m) (Figure 8).
19. Tighten the steering damper mounting stud nut to 50 ft. lbs. (68 N.m) (Figure 8).
20. Tighten the steering damper axle bolt to 50 ft. lbs. (68 N.m) (Figure 8).
21. Lower the vehicle from the hoist.
