Evaporative Canister Filter: Service and Repair
Replacement
1. Remove the canister .
2. Disconnect the vapor hose (A) from the canister close valve (B).
3. Remove the mounting bolt (A) and nut (B), and then remove the fuel tank air filter and canister close valve assembly.
4. Pull the bracket (A) from the canister close valve, and then separate the canister close valve (B) from the fuel tank air filter (C) by rotate the valve
counterclockwise.
5. Install a new fuel tank air filter in accordance with the reverse order.
Fuel tank air filter installation bolt:
3.9 - 5.9 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf.m, 2.9 - 4.3 lb-ft)
Canister close valve installation nut:
3.9 - 5.9 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf.m, 2.9 - 4.3 lb-ft)
