SERVICE CAMPAIGN: AIR BAG CONTROL UNIT (ACU) REPROGRAM (SC 081)
This Service Bulletin provides information relating to an upgrade of the functioning of the logic in the Airbag Control Unit in some 2010MY Forte 4
door vehicles, with production dates ranging from March 3, 2009 through January 11, 2010, to increase the range of impacts in which the side and
curtain airbags will deploy. This upgrade will bring these vehicles in line with current Forte production. The ACU logic in these vehicles is in
compliance with all governmental safety standards.
This bulletin provides information on how to reprogram the Forte ACU. Please follow the service procedure outlined below.
