Optima Rear Drum Brake Noise
This bulletin provides information relating to a change in Optima rear drum brakes to reduce operational noise. From 11/1/01 production, stiffeners were

parts may be used as a field fix for in-use complaint vehicles built before 11/1/01.
* NOTICE
For in-use complaint vehicles, both the backing plates and brake shoes must be replaced to be effective.
