This bulletin provides information relating to a change in 2001 MY Optima 2.5L V-6 oxygen sensors. Some 2001 MY Optima models with 2.5L V-6
engines may experience MIL illumination with oxygen sensor related DTCs. To reduce incidence of MIL illumination, improved oxygen sensors and
Hi-Scan Pro ECM reprogramming software have been made available to service complaint vehicles with oxygen sensor related MIL illumination.
Possible complaint vehicle DTCs for oxygen sensor are:

P0133 - Front 02 circuit slow response bank 1.

P0134 - Front 02 circuit inactive bank 1.

P1134 - Transition time problem 02 sensor bank 1 sensor 1.

P0153 - Front 02 circuit slow response bank 2.

P0154 - Front 02 circuit inactive bank 2.
^
P1154 - Transition time problem 02 sensor bank 2 sensor 1.
