This Pitstop article provides information relating to the satellite antenna paint color (black) from the assembly plant.
Effective for all 2009 vehicles, the satellite antenna is unpainted from the factory and is black in color. This feature was intended to give the 2009
vehicles a sporty appearence and resemble other segment vehicles with the same options. Kia recommends that the satellite antenna should not be
painted, as this could cause increased of poor reception from the roof mounted antenna.
Customers or dealers who choose to paint their satellite antenna do so at their own risk and are not entitled to warranty claims for the satellite antenna or
audio reception issues.
