Remove TCM with mounting bracket.
7.
Note harness attachment to TCM, loosen/ cut wire tie, and unplug connector H01.
8.
Plug connector H01 into new TCM, and secure harness with wire tie to new unit.
9.
Position TCM and place mounting bracket over forward and top studs in firewall.
10.
Position ECM and place mounting bracket over forward and top studs in firewall.
11.
Install and tighten top and forward mounting nuts (4).
AFFECTED PRODUCTION RANGE:
All Rio vehicles equipped with automatic transmission produced prior to 8/22/00.
