Using a brush and shop air, remove any debris that has accumulated on the four (4) extruded parts of the sensor. Clean the exterior of the sensor.
Do not use any cleaning chemicals.
*Notice
In areas of high amounts of road salts and damp environments, a minor amount of oxidation is normal, silicone varnish treatment can be applied to
this oxidation.

Apply a small amount of rust penetrant (WD-40 or equivalent) to a shop towel and remove any steering knuckle surface oxidation from the wheel
speed sensor mounting surface.

Use a shop towel to cover the strut / rotor / steering knuckle to prevent overspray from the silicone varnish. Apply a light application of silicone
varnish to the protruding base.
Ensure a complete 360-degree application around the sensor. Wait
one (1) minute to ensure proper varnish set times, before
proceeding.
