- Description
This service bulletin provides information relating to the 'Passenger Airbag Off' Indicator Light on some 2007-2008 MY Sorento vehicles, with
production dates ranging from 06/15/2006 through 11/27/2007. These vehicles may experience a problem with the Occupant Classification System
(OCS). The OCS is an integral part of the passenger's seat cushion, and it may misclassify the presence of certain adult passengers based on a
combination of their weight, stature, body shape and position on the seat cushion. This condition prohibits the deployment of the passenger's air bag.
This bulletin provides information on how to update the Sorento OCS electronic control module located in the seat cushion with the reprogramming
device called the "OC-Reprogramming Tool Number (Six) 6".
