Axle Shaft: Overhaul

Disassembly

DISASSEMBLY

1. Remove axle clip using plier.

2. Remove output shaft housing.

3. Using a hydraulic press, remove bearing housing from the output shaft.

4. Remove dust seal and then using a hydraulic press, remove bearing.

Inspection

INSPECTION

-

Output shaft for damage.

-

Bearing for roughness or noise.

-

Dust seal for damage.

-

Bearing housing for cracks.

Reassembly

REASSEMBLY (OUTPUT SHAFT)

1. Install dust seal into bearing housing.

NOTE:
-

Apply the grease on the lip of dust seal.
