CHECKING POWER STEERING BELT TENSION
1. Press the V-belt, applying a pressure of 98 N (10 kg, 22 lb) at the specified point, and measure the deflection to confirm that it is within the
standard value range.
V-belt deflection [Standard value]
6 - 7 mm (0.236 - 0.275 in.)
2. Install the belt. Loosen the adjusting bolt A or flange nut and then adjust the tension of the belt with adjusting bolt B.
After that, tighten the adjusting bolt or flange nut to the specified value.
NOTE:

When adjusting tension of the belt, tighten the adjusting bolt and flange nut temporarily so that the pulley does not lean to one side, then adjust
the tension.
