SERVICE TIP:
An improved clutch release bearing will be installed in production vehicles beginning on or about 8/1/98. This improved bearing can be used as a field
fix for customer vehicles experiencing the high-pitched squeaking noise. KMA will notify your dealership of the details soon.
Please explain this to any customers who experience this condition and assure them that the noise is not causing any damage or adverse vehicle
operation. Let them know that this condition will be corrected under warranty as soon as possible. Do not attempt a temporary fix, because the customer
will soon be back in the service drive even more upset that the problem isn't corrected.
