Blower Motor: Service and Repair
NOTE: On models equipped with airbag system, refer to Technician Safety Information for system disarming and arming procedures.
1. Discharge and recover A/C system refrigerant.
2. Disconnect battery ground cable.
3. Remove battery retaining bracket.
4. Remove battery.

5. Disconnect A/C outlet line from evaporator outlet, Fig. 11.
6. Disconnect A/C inlet line from evaporator inlet.
7. Plug line fittings to prevent moisture from entering the system.
8. Remove blower motor assembly drain hose.
9. Remove glove compartment.
10. Remove five screws securing lower righthand instrument panel trim panel. Four screws are located around glove compartment trim and one screw
is on righthand end side of instrument panel.
11. Remove righthand instrument panel lower trim panel.
12. Remove screw attaching upper center console side cover to allow access left instrument panel lower support.
