Sportage Door Glass Run
This bulletin provides information related to a change to the Sportage Door Glass Run. 1997 Sportage models, beginning with VIN
KNDJB7238V5529298 (production date 10/9/96), are equipped with redesigned door glass runs.
Some Sportage models have exhibited excessive wind noise while driving at highway speeds. To help reduce the occurrence of this condition, the shape
of the door glass run cross-section has been changed. Additionally, the shape of the corners of both the front and rear door glass runs in the upper "B"
pillar area has been revised to reduce air leakage/noise into the door frame.
The new door glass runs replace previous Sportage door glass runs and should be used to correct Sportage wind noise complaints in models produced
prior to 10/9/96.
