Sportage Cooling Fan Replacement
This bulletin provides information related to replacing fractured cooling fan blades on 2002 Sportage vehicles with production dates from 4/12/01
through 12/16/02. The design and the material of the cooling fan blade have been modified to improve durability under severe or abnormal conditions.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE:
Check the vehicle production date. If the vehicle's production date is from 4/12/01 through 12/16/02, and if the cooling fan blade shows any sign of
deterioration or fracture, then replace the cooling fan blade.
Note:
The new cooling fan looks identical to the old unit. The only difference is the new P/N (0K038 15 142) which is molded into the new fan.
