Rear Hatch Lock Assembly

Removal

CAUTION:  When a removing or installing any electrical units, wiring or electrical connectors, disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent
possible short circuits which could lead to personal injury and/or property damage.

1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Swing spare tire carrier aside.
3. Open rear hatch.

4. Remove the rear hatch trim. 
5. Peel off plastic screen carefully.

6. Unfasten lockrod clip and fastener.
7. Remove two retaining nuts on the outside handle from the access hole.
