1. Remove the harness connector.
2. Remove the sensor bolt and remove the speed sensor.
INSPECTION
1. Check the sensor O-ring for damage and replace if necessary.
2. Check clearance.

Measure the clearance between the speed sensor and the sensor rotor teeth as follows:
a. Measure the distance (A) between the sensor attaching surface and the sensor rotor teeth.
b. Measure the distance (B) between the sensor attaching surface and the sensor pole piece.
c. Obtain (A) - (B).
Specified clearance: 0.020 - 0.047 inch (0.5 - 1.2 mm)
If the clearance is less than 0.02 inch (0.55 mm), adjust using an adjustment shim during sensor installation. If the clearance is more than
