Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming: Service and Repair
Before and After Servicing
Before Servicing
1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Wait 10 minutes for the backup power to discharge.
After Servicing
1. Reconnect the battery.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
3. Verify that the Air Bag Warning Light illuminates for approximately 5 seconds and then goes off.
