Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Testing and Inspection
MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR
(HOT FILM TYPE)
Inspection
1. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature and let it idle.
2. Connect a voltmeter between terminal 1 (RED/GRN wire) and ground.
3. Verify that the voltage varies between 0.8 V - 1.2 V.
4. Rev up the engine and verify that voltage varies between 3.5 V - 4 V.
5. If the voltage is not within specification, replace the mass air flow sensor.
