Shift Solenoid: Testing and Inspection
SOLENOIDS
Inspection
1. Disconnect the connector from the Transmission Control Module (TCM).
2. Measure the resistance between ground and pins 8, 7 and 22.
Resistance should be between 11 - 15 ohms at 68° F (20° C)
3. Apply battery positive voltage to pins 8, 7 and 22. Verify that a solenoid operation noise (click) can be heard from the applicable solenoid valve at
the transmission oil pan.
