Sportage 2WD 4Dr L4-2.0L (2000)
8. Connect damping pipe to pressure hose.
Tighten to 29 ft. lbs. (39 Nm).
9. Connect suction hose No. 1 to pipe assembly No. 1.
10. Lower vehicle for access to top of steering gear.
11. Install pipe assembly No. 4 on top of steering gear.
Tighten to 29 ft. lbs. (39 Nm).
12. Connect damping pipe to top of steering gear.
13. Install return hose No. 1 on pipe assembly No. 1.
14. Place reserve tank in position over bracket and press down until engagement of the detent is felt.
15. Install coolant recovery tank.
16. Install under cover with four bolts.
Tighten bolts to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm).
NOTE: Do not operate the engine before adding power steering fluid as required to fill the system. Operation of the power steering pump with
inadequate fluid will result in damage to the pump.
17. Bleed air from the system.
