Rear Suspension
The rear axle suspension system utilizes independently mounted coil springs and double-acting, oil-filled shock absorbers. They are attached to the
rear axle and body by retainers and rubber seats. Their function is to dampen road shock and vibration.
REMOVAL
1. Raise the rear of the vehicle and support it with safety stands.
2. Remove the rear wheels.
3. Raise the rear axle housing to facilitate removal of the shock absorbers.
4. Remove the rear shock absorber safety nut, upper nut and washer.
5. Remove the upper rubber plate.
6. Remove the shock absorber lower bolt.
