Sportage 2WD 4Dr L4-2.0L (2000)
1. Install clips, secondary valve springs, and the throttle valve.
NOTICE: Install as many clips as written down during disassembly. Fluid pressure will vary depending upon the number of clips installed.
2. Install the throttle valve primary spring, shiftdown plug, and, with the throttle valve held as shown, install the locating pin.
3. Install the cam spacer, cam return spring, throttle valve cam, washer and bolt.
Tightening torque: 54 - 78 inch lbs. (6 - 9 Nm)
4. Loosely install the front valve end cover with one bolt. Install the secondary regulator valve spring and secondary regulator valve. While holding
the secondary regulator valve as shown, slide the cover in place and install the second front valve end cover bolt.
Tightening torque: 44 - 51 inch lbs. (5 - 6 Nm)
Caution: When installing the cover, be sure to hold the valve with your finger to prevent the secondary regulator valve and spring from jumping
out.
5. Install the cut back valve spring, cut back valve, and cut back valve plug.
