2. With the 3-2 kickdown control valve plug held in place, remove the needle roller with magnet. Then remove the 3-2 kickdown control valve plug,

clutch sequence valve and low and reverse brake sequence valve spring.

3. With shift valve plug held in place, remove the shift valve retainer with a magnet and then remove the shift valve plug, 3-4 shift valve, and 3-4

shift valve spring.

4. Remove the inner plate bolt and loosen the outer bolt. Carefully rotate the cover and remove the 1-2 shift valve and shift valve spring.

Caution:  When moving the cover, be sure to hold the valve with your finger to prevent the 1-2 shift valve and shift valve spring from jumping
out.

5. Remove the outer plate bolt, plate and gasket.
