Heated Glass Element Relay: Service and Repair

Rear Window Defroster / Relay

Removal

1. Remove the knee air bag module. 
2. From the same panel, remove the two screws which appear after prying out the two plastic plugs below and to either side of the steering wheel

column.

Defroster Relay

3. Using a screwdriver, release the relay plastic retainer dip and pull the relay out of its socket.

Installation

1. Push the relay into its socket until the plastic clip snaps in place.
2. Install the knee air bag module.
