Mount the parking brake handle assembly to the aluminum base, torque the mounting bolts to 14-19 lb ft (18-25 Nm).

Connect the parking brake warning switch electrical connector.
* NOTICE
Adjusting the parking brakes too tight may result in dragging brakes and a customer complaint of over-heated rear brake rotors. Please follow the
adjustment procedure listed in this document.
4.
Adjust the parking brake as follows:
a.
Turn the adjusting nut until 6-8 clicks can be achieved when applying the parking brake fully. DO NOT over-adjust the parking brake!
