2005-Sportage (KM) Low Line TPMS
- Description
The 2005 and later Sportage is equipped with TRW low line Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
Several TPMS wheel tire pressure sensors have been replaced under warranty. When these sensors were returned to Kia Corporate office and tested,
these sensors were found to be operating to specifications. However, in 90% of the cases the sensors were set incorrectly to "high line". When these
sensors are set to "high line" they cannot communicate with the control module and in return will set Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). Please refer to
TSB SST-006 for further explanation.
