TREATMENT FOR SPORTAGE (KM) REAR FLOOR MEMBERS (SC084)
This bulletin provides information relating to Sportage (KM) vehicles built from May 27 2004 to September 14 2009 and a procedure to apply additional
anticorrosion protection to the rear floor side and cross members. Owners of 2005-2010MY Kia Sportage (KM) vehicles currently registered in the 21
states which are known to use heavy amounts of road salt are being notified to schedule an appointment with the nearest Kia dealer. The 21 states are:
CT, DC DE IA IL IN, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, Vi, WI, WV.
This TSB outlines the procedures to be followed when applying sealer and anticorrosion products to the rear floor cross member and side members.
