SPORTAGE REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
This bulletin provides information about changes to the 1996 Sportage rear door lock assembly and includes rear door lock assembly replacement
procedures.
The 1995 Sportage rear outside door handles may require higher than normal effort to open the rear doors. To reduce the effort required to open the rear
doors from the outside, a redesigned rear door lock assembly and outside door handle will be incorporated into 1996 Sportage models.
This new door lock assembly (handle and lock) is interchangeable as a set with 1995 Sportage components and may be used to satisfy a customer
concern relating to a higher than normal opening effort.
