Replacement

1. Properly support the rear hatch.

2. Remove the upper ball stud nut from the stay damper.

3. Remove the two bolts securing the stay damper to the vehicle body.

4. Remove the stay damper.
5. Install the two lower retaining bolts and tighten to 80 in-lb of torque.
6. Install upper ball stud nut and tighten to 14 ft-lb of torque.
