7. Verify that the timing belt deflection is within specifications midway between the crankshaft pulley and the camshaft pulley by applying moderate
pressure.
Deflection: 0.43-0.51 inch (11.0-13.0 mm) at 22 lbs. (98 N)
8. If the timing belt deflection is not correct, remove the timing belt and repeat steps 1-7 after installing a new tensioner spring.
9. Install the timing belt guide.
10. Install the crankshaft damper pulley.
11. Install the five crankshaft damper pulley bolts.
Tighten the bolts to 132 in.lbs. (15 Nm)
12. Install the P/S pump drive belt.
13. Adjust the belt deflection by prying outward on the P/S pump with a suitable lever and tightening the P/S pump lock bolt (A) and mounting bolt
(B).
Deflection: 0.35-0.43 inch (9-11 mm) at 22 lbs. (98 N)
