Timing Cover: Service and Repair
TIMING BELT COVER AND/OR GASKETS REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the two fresh air duct mounting bolts on the radiator.
3. Loosen the fresh air duct clamp at the air cleaner housing cover.
4. Remove the hose at the resonance chamber.
5. Remove the fresh air duct.
CAUTION: Never remove the radiator cap while the engine is hot.
6. Remove the radiator cap.
7. Loosen the radiator drain plug and drain the engine coolant into a suitable container.
8. Tighten the radiator drain plug.
