Sportage 4WD L4-2.0L SOHC (1995)
3. Install the timing belt so that there is minimal slack from the timing belt pulley to the water pump and from the water pump to the camshaft pulley.
NOTE: Be sure not to apply tension other than that of the tensioner spring.
4. Loosen the tensioner lock bolt to apply tension to the timing belt.
NOTE: Do not turn the crankshaft counterclockwise.
5. Turn the crankshaft two turns clockwise and verify that the timing marks are correctly aligned. if they are not, remove the timing belt and repeat
steps 1-5.
6. Tighten the timing belt tensioner lock bolt.
Tighten the lock bolt to 33 ft.lbs. (45 Nm)
