INSPECTION OF SENSITIVITY

1. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
2. Run engine at idle speed.
3. Lift the cover on the data link connector (DLC).
4. Connect a voltmeter between ENG. MON and B+ terminals of the DLC.
5. Verify that the voltage varies between 0.0V and 3.0V (7 - 8 pulsations in 10 seconds).
6. Turn the ignition switch off.
7. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and depress the brake pedal for 15 seconds to eliminate the service codes from the ECM memory.
